Sacramone Orthodontics in Newtonville, MA

Your First Orthodontic Visit at Sacramone Orthodontics

We’re excited to welcome you to your first visit at Sacramone Orthodontics! From the moment you arrive, our friendly front desk team will greet you and help you check in. Your comfort and confidence are our top priorities from day one.

During this visit, Dr. Frederick Sacramone will perform a comprehensive orthodontic evaluation, taking time to walk through every step of the process with you and your family. We’re here to ensure you feel informed, confident, and excited about your smile journey.

What Will We Learn During the Initial Orthodontist Consultation?

Your first appointment is all about discovery. The goal of this initial exam is to provide clear answers to key questions:

  • Is there an orthodontic issue that needs treatment?

  • When is the best time to begin treatment?

  • What type of treatment is recommended?

  • How long is the treatment expected to take?

  • What is the estimated cost of treatment?

What Comes After the Exam?

If orthodontic care is recommended during the first visit, we’ll typically schedule a second appointment to gather Diagnostic Records. However, if time allows, these records may be collected during your initial appointment.

Diagnostic Records help Dr. Sacramone develop a personalized treatment plan. These may include:

  • Study models of your teeth

  • Panoramic and cephalometric X-rays

  • Growth and bite analysis (cephalometric tracings)

  • Diagnostic photographs

Using these tools, the doctor can assess the ideal course of treatment tailored to your individual needs.

How Much Does Orthodontic Treatment Cost?

The cost of orthodontic treatment depends on the complexity of the case. After Diagnostic Records have been reviewed and a treatment plan is determined, our treatment coordinator will go over all financial details, including:

  • Transparent fee structure

  • Flexible payment plans to suit your budget

  • Acceptance of most major insurance plans

We work hard to make orthodontics affordable and accessible for every family.

What’s Included in Your Investment?

Your investment in a healthy, confident smile includes:

  • Active treatment for early or comprehensive orthodontic care, including:

  • Durable appliances that are designed to last (replacement fees may apply if lost, broken, or damaged)

  • One set of final retainers for comprehensive (Phase II) patients, provided upon completion of treatment

Tip: If retainers are lost or damaged, additional replacement fees will apply.

What’s Not Included?

While your investment covers all in-office orthodontic treatment, certain services fall outside this scope:

  • Orthodontic Records
  • Work performed by dental specialists outside our orthodontic practice

  • Additional procedures required due to injury, TMJ complications, or orthognathic surgery

If these unique circumstances arise, a fee adjustment may be necessary to complete treatment.

Insurance and Assignment of Benefits

We gladly accept assignment of benefits for most dental insurance plans, which helps reduce your out-of-pocket expenses. If we are unable to accept direct assignment from your plan, we will still file claims on your behalf so you can be reimbursed.

Important: If your insurance policy changes at any time before the benefit is paid in full, please notify our office immediately so we can update your contract and avoid potential coverage issues.
